Duties:
Standard Costing & Reporting:
Owns all aspects of standard costing and responsible for annual COGS budget & policy maintenance.
General Ledger Processes:
Handles significant parts of the company's general ledger close processes, including required journal entries, GL reconciliations, variance and margin analyses, and COGS trend analysis.
Inventory Management:
Analyzes inventory transactions and reconciles monthly sub ledger detail to general ledger.
Pricing & New Product Analysis:
Leads pricing reviews, reviews new product NPV's for accuracy, and conducts payback analyses.
Operational Variance Reporting & Analysis:
Manages operational variance reporting, including the establishment of capitalization methods for variance accounts.
Margin Analysis & Support:
Provides margin analysis for marketing & management and timely historical financial analysis to support decisions.
KPIs & Improvements:
Tracks and reports key metrics, offering improvement suggestions.
Audit Coordination:
Coordinates internal and external audit requirements.
Ad-hoc Reporting:
Manages ad-hoc reporting and other assigned duties.
Environment & Safety Compliance:
Focuses on waste reduction, recycling, resource re-use, and adheres to safety rules and training.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar; 3-5 years of cost accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills:
Solid GAAP experience; standard costing and variance reporting; proficient in ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented.
Characteristics:
Able to work independently and cross-functionally, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
